Our approach to computer science education for kids is with the belief that being able to understand how a computer thinks is core to being able to communicate with it. The languages and syntax take a back seat to procedural thinking and logical problem solving. Once students have a strong foundation in the fundamentals of how to design and implement software, being able to pick up new languages will become easier and easier. Although there are many differences, most programming languages will follow the same logic. Working through the levels, assures flexibility for future careers or projects without creating convoluted or oversaturated curriculums. Students are able to jump to different levels by demonstrating the basic requirements in Scratch.
